Why I pledged: Growing up in AC and observing the then-annual
My going over night: Omega-by-the Sea and seeing the Ques take over AC
Funniest Moment: for a weekend of fun. Additionally, I attended Howard
Chapter Achievement: University's Homecoming in my senior year of high
school and observed how the Ques were the leading
Biggest Challenge:
and most respected fraternity on the campus.
Impact on Campus: How elated and happy I was to accomplish this
magnificent feat, on the other hand, how mentally and
                      physically exhausted I felt.
Hiding out from Big Brothers Alexander, Roberts,
Sawyer, Gillis and Walker in the women's dorm -- aka
                      the BP!
We were the first Black Fraternity on Seton Hall's
campus. Additionally, we were the first Black Fraternity
to be admitted to the Inter-Fraternity Council, which
gave us a voice in shaping policy and standards for
other Greek Organizations. Our Que weekend concert

featuring Norman Connors and Melba Moore set the
"gold standard" for all Greek Organization on campus
                      and throughout the state.
Our Chapter was presented with the opportunity for
partnership in operating a .nightclub. However, after a
provocative discussion and close scrutiny of the pros
and cons of the opportunity, our advisors, Bro. Garrison
and Bro. Deas helped us to refocus our purpose and
mission, which was our studies, scholarship and
                      community service.
We set the bar and enhanced the quality of social life
for all African-Americans and Latino students and

organizations on campus. Our leadership and voice
enabled us to meet and be part of discussions with the
Administration and Faculty regarding Black and
Hispanic educational opportunities and student life
                      throughout the university community.
