Why I pledged: I was inspired by the sense of purpose, camaraderie,
My going over night: bond between the brothers and commitment to serve
Funniest Moment: the broader community.
Chapter Achievement: Feeling a tremendous sense of accomplishment for me
Biggest Challenge: and my line brothers.
Smoking a chocolate chip cookie joint.
Impact on Campus: Getting Kappa Eta chapter established on Seton Hall's
campus.
Getting permission from the Seton Hall administration
to proceed with establishing a black Greek fraternal
organization on campus.
We overcame it by having relationships with key
individuals in positions of power on campus, most
notably Lee Cooke, Director of Admissions, John Moon,
Head track coach and the EOP staff.
We were trailblazers and paved the way for generations
of young Black men to come.
