Why I pledged: As a Black Student on an all white college campus I felt

My going over night: the need for a climate of more social life that I witness
Funniest Moment: on HBCU campuses. Rick Treadwell had pledge and
Chapter Achievement: spoke to my colleagues and Rich Alexander spoke to me
about coming to a smoker.
Biggest Challenge: It was difficult crossing those burning sands! That is
Impact on Campus: how I got the name pebbles.
When I received the name Crazy Joe!!!
Every Friday we would dress in shirt and tie and the
others on campus knew we were the Ques especially the
black women. It was for respect for ourselves as black
greeks.
I was not a fan of the IFC nor were they a fan of us. I

wanted to establish other black fraternity and sorority
on the campus to have a Pan Hellenic Council
We gave black students an opportunity to enjoy a social
life on campus from our parties, step shows on the yard
and concerts in Walsh Gym with the BlackByrds and
Phyllis Hyman.
