Thoughts from the brotherhood of Brother Martin Whitaker, Jr.
By the Brotherhood
Martin Whitaker.....or "Party Marty as he was known in his hometown of
Philadelphia Pa, was what I call an "East Coast Icon" . Extremely well known
not just for his MOUTH.....but he could (excuse my language) Step his ASS off.
He was a member of the legendary "Philly All-Stars" stepteam. He and those
brothers actually revolutionized the step game. They took it to a higher level.

Garrison was one of my college advisors, Bibby pledged me, Wilson and
Whitaker pledge with me with the exception of Leroy Wilson pledging with Eta
Pi who was our advising chapter. All four of these brothers influence me in my
college experience and life. All four of these brothers left this world too early.
I pray that we will see them again!

I only knew whitaker and remembered he was a great stepper and how he
was not that much older than i was so always a little eye opening when that
happens. Cornell Fraites
I was saddened to hear about the passing of Bro. Martin Whitaker. I met
Marty during our chapter reunion in which he told us that he pledged the bro's
that pledged the bro's. Brother Whitaker was fun to watch stepping

The passing of Brothers Whitaker and Wilson was a trying moment. My
relationships with both Brothers were at the opposite ends of the spectrum.
However, they proved pivotal in my maturation as man and brother. Bro.
Wilson provided mentorship and the constant reminder of "your focus while at
SHU" and Bro. Whitaker provided the consistent visual of working for Omega.
