The passing of Brothers Whitaker and Wilson was a trying moment. My
relationships with both Brothers were at the opposite ends of the spectrum.
However, they proved pivotal in my maturation as man and brother. Bro.
Wilson provided mentorship and the constant reminder of "your focus while at
SHU" and Bro. Whitaker provided the consistent visual of working for Omega.

I had the honor of presenting Bro. Wilson as a keynote speaker during
Founder's Week at an Omicron Chi event. The week leading up to the event, I
visited with him to discuss his bio and learned things about him I didn't know
prior. All of these good chapter brothers were truly thoroughly immersed in the
true Omega Spirit and if it weren't for any of them, I (we) wouldn't be
celebrating our 40th anniversary. So I thank them for all that they have done
to pave the way for us all. Friendship is Essential to the Soul!

I knew Bro. Wilson before he became a Que because of his involvement with

                                  the Upward Bound Program.

He was instrumental in establishing and continuing a legacy of the four
                                        cardinal principles.
