Chapter Achievement: brothers disagreed and insisted on coming. I walked
Biggest Challenge: off alone. About two miles down the road I saw a guy
Impact on Campus: delivering newspapers. I ran up to him bald, in my
pledge gear, with combat boots, and told him I ran out
of gas. The man did not say a word to me. He didn’t
offer me a ride. He did a u turn and headed back the
way I had come. When I finally got back to the car,
the brothers told me some guy drove up, poured gas
into our tank, and drove away. Without a word. Till
this day, this was one of the strangest situations I had
ever experienced. I can only assume someone was
watching over our shoulders.
I am privileged and blessed to say that to me Kappa
Eta was my home. This chapter means brotherhood,
friendship and loyalty. Kappa Eta allowed the brothers
a forum to lead and be a vital part of the Seton Hall
community. We exercised this leadership role in a
variety of causes, scholarship events, and community
events.
As a chapter, Kappa Eta faced many challenges. We
had our share of challenging situations. We over came
them together as an organization, through support for
one another and leadership.
Kappa Eta played a vital role for students on the Seton
Hall campus. One year, there was a rash of attacks
and sexual assaults on campus. Kappa Eta designed a
program to protect female students by walking them
across campus in the late night and evening hours.
Students appreciated the program and Kappa Eta
received positive publicity from the program.
